In the first stage of development, babies absorb everything in the environment by interacting with the parents/caregivers and objects around them. As they explore and manipulate, their intelligence grows. The infant, desiring to communicate and to be in touch with those around her, initially uses sound, singing and chanting – together with rhythmic movement and later with oral and written language – to establish vital connections with the world. The musical activities offer a wonderful opportunity to bond between you and your child.
